In the 17th century, Johannes Vermeer, a Dutch painter, frequently depicted the “Japonse rok” in his masterpieces. This was actually a “d?tera,” a kimono-style garment worn by scho lars of the time to convey the Japanese kimono. AISHITERU has recreated this dotera in modern times using traditional indigo dyeing techniques. The generously sized and quaint design makes it a luxurious and comfortable garment.
