As part of the celebrations for Selvedge Textile Month in September, Loop is thrilled to be launching the first-ever English edition of Aitor Saraiba’s book, ahead of anywhere else in the world! Aitor Saraiba is a multidisciplinary artist known for his emotionally resonant and deeply personal work, spanning illustration, ceramics, and textiles. Hailing from Spain, Aitor’s unique style has led to collaborations with major brands and institutions, blending his artistic vision with innovative projects. Aitor has partnered with names like Loewe, Museo del Prado, Sajou, and Cohana, creating pieces that merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary art. His collaborations are celebrated for their sincerity and creative storytelling, making his work widely recognised and loved across diverse audiences. His new book, Embroider, Mend and Sew: Creative storytelling through textile art, is being translated into English for the very first time, and Loop will be the first place in the world where you can get it. This is now available for pre-order from Loop. To celebrate, we’re hosting a proper Loop-style launch: a meet + greet with Aitor, book signing, and a very joyful evening surrounded by yarn, books and lovely people. Aitor will also be teaching workshops at Loop on the weekend of the 19th and 20th of September, making it a truly special few days in the shop.
