AK Extra Thin Cement is AK's general-assembly option for plastic models. Its deliberately longer working behaviour than the Quick type allows the liquid to wick along a joint after the parts have been mated, melting the plastic at the contact area to form the bond. AK describes the drying behaviour as medium to fast rather than very quick, making it the range's standard choice for capillary assembly where the cement needs time to travel through the seam. The square bottle base is designed to resist rolling on the workbench. AK's guide documents using extra-thin cement with stretched plastic or a thin profile to simulate weld seams. A wooden toothpick can be used to distribute the cement into recesses and less accessible areas. The cement joins plastic where the faces meet; it does not replace filler where material is missing.
