I made the Akebia Ring in 2020 while exploring unconventional and unusual ways to showcase my favorite stones. The original held a luminous rainbow moonstone that glowed blue. Now a Paraiba Quartz nestles in its heart, cradled by reaching silver tendrils wrapping around the bezel. The band gracefully departs from a tradition circle band. It's comfortable to wear. Like much of my work, Akebia is a balance between wild and refined, and carries elements of nature & flora present in my life and learning. I wear this ring as I navigate city life, to remind me that nature is always close.
