Handmade in Japan from 100% Japanese Kozo - 'Akebono' translates as dawn or daybreak in Japanese. The colourful strands of kozo are added to the papermaking pulp in the vat. This h igh quality tissue paper is ideal for lanterns, lampshades and window coverings: the lightly swirling colours glow beautifully when back-lit. The mixed tones in each sheet make Akebono great for collage and its translucence lends itself well to layering. Often used as a decorative flysheet in bindings.
