The Extans Akhal Shine is a luxury bicycle handmade in England, one of ninety-nine limited edition units clad in bright chrome plating and silver-sand white. Design house Extans built it as a rideable sculpture, poised between kinetic art and precision engineering. The ConceptThe Akhal Shine takes its name from the Akhal-Teke horse, one of the rarest purebred breeds in the world, celebrated for endurance, intelligence and a distinctive metallic sheen. That shimmering Cremello coat inspired the silver-sand white and bright chrome finish of the Shine edition, while the darker Shadow edition mirrors the volcano black coat of the same lineage. The Akhal has been shaped with energy, harmony and balance, poised with elegance and driven by a design language of movement and finesse.The BuildThe frame is a monocoque carbon structure paired with a CNC machined head, dropouts and seat clamp cut from a single solid aluminum billet. The fork, seat post and handlebars with integrated stem are also full carbon, keeping the total weight down to 9.5 kg. Extans offers bespoke customization on every unit, letting the rider co-create a one-off piece that expresses their individuality.
