Merremia dissecta Commonly known as Alamo Vine, Noyau Vine, and Correhuela De Las Doce. Alamo vine is a very attractive twining climber of the morning glory family. It has large white flowers with dark burgundy centers. The dark green foliage is intricately divided. The brown seed capsules are interesting, resembling flowers themselves. This species can be very aggressive in the garden. Fast growing, especially in full sun and rain. Freezes back to the roots in winter. Cut back as needed in winter or summer. Easily reseeds itself and spreads with a twining habit.
