A medium sized beauty in a family of giants. Still no insignificant plant, you can expect growth to over three feet tall and wide in a fantastically beautiful dense upright rosette. The foliage is green with silver crossbanding that later will be totally obscured by a silvery white powder, giving the plant a very distinctive look. The waxy powder (similar to that on a Catopsis) lends a degree of sun protection and allows this species to grow in up to full sun conditions. The inflorescence is beautiful as well, a tall scape with many red branches and fragrant flowers. A great plant for landscape in Florida or other similar areas or as a stunning container subject anywhere.
