The ALD24HC is the high-capacity version of the 24 V ALD, designed for high-output alternators and systems that experience significant electrical transients. It linearises the raw rectified alternator output and delivers a clean, stable reference signal even under heavy load variation. Systems with large lithium banks, export power loads, or marine diesels often experience severe ripple and rapid current swings. The ALD24HC is engineered to maintain accurate alternator sensing and prevent misbehaviour in DC/DC chargers, charge controllers, and monitoring equipment. Key functions Absorbs massive and destructive voltage spikes that are expected to occur if an alternator load is disconnected during operation (Lithium BMS interrupting charge, fuses blowing, large changes in loads, cables disconnecting) Normalises alternator output into a clean, stable reference.
