Aldehyde C-11 Undecylenic is one of the two fatty (or aliphatic) aldehydes which are not found in nature (the other is Aldehyde C-12 MNA). C-11 Undecylenic is particularly useful f or adding inimitable accents to florals and, owing to its green fatty quality, it blends well with mossy and woody notes. This is one of the three aldehydes used by Ernest Beaux in his masterpiece of perfumery No 5 for Chanel. As with all true aldehydes, we recommend dilution in an alcohol upon receipt of this product. Ethyl alcohol is the most commonly used for this purpose, but others such as phenyl ethyl alcohol or benzyl alcohol are also suitable. Show more
