Aled Williams has an inquisitive nature and an eye for detail, which comes through in his drawings of landscapes he has visited and of animals he is fascinated by. He sketches in s mall notebooks and then works his sketches up into larger scale artworks. These are sometimes left as black pen and ink drawings; other times he might explore the image’s depth with colour and tone. Aled is interested in the work of artists such as Henri Matisse and references their work in his pieces whilst maintaining his own unique style.
