Outside of Tavel, rosés are produced in some significant quantities in the Gigondas AOC on the eastern side of the Rhône valley. Here at least 15% of the wine must be made from Syr ah and Mourvedre with Grenache permitted to make up to 80% of the blend and Cinsault and Carignan playing minor roles.
