Course Description+ Algebra 2 Advanced is a course designed to continue the study of the structure of algebra and geometry to provide the foundation for applying these skills to ot her mathematical and scientific fields. Topics include, but are not limited to, structure and properties of the complex number system, relations, functions and their graphs, polynomials and rational expressions, quadratic equations and inequalities, functions, rational and irrational exponents, logarithms, conic sections, and probability.Prerequisite: Algebra 1This 6-week course is offered for first time credit, for credit grade replacement, or for non-credit enrichment in preparation for taking the course in the future. Please check with your school regarding credit from outside institutions. First time credit not permitted for this course for AHS Students.Session dates:Session 1A: 6/08/26 - 6/26/26 (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) (EST) - 0.50 creditSession 2A: 6/29/26 - 7/17/26 (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) (EST) - 0.50 credit6 weeks courseFor full 1.00 credit the student MUST complete both 'A' sessions (6-weeks)For 0.50 credit or audit the student may take first session only '1A' (first 3 weeks) Additional Course Information+ A class may be canceled if fewer than 6 students enroll, and a specific teacher is not guaranteed. It is the parents’ responsibility to check with their child's school when seeking credit for a course. For online courses, the students’ cameras MUST be turned on at all times, and attendance is mandatory. To protect the privacy rights of all, there is absolutely no videotaping or recording by students during the course.
