Alhagi is a genus of plants in the family Fabaceae. Known in Arabic as al ‘āqūl, they are commonly called camelthorns or manna trees. Used as a medicinal herb, it is mentioned in t he Qur’ān as a source of the sweet manna. Painted from specimens found at Sharjah Botanic Gardens, UAE.
