Facelift is the powerful debut studio album from American rock band Alice in Chains. The album established the band's distinctive sound, combining heavy metal riffs, dark alternati ve rock, blues influences and haunting vocal harmonies. Fronted by the unmistakable vocals of Layne Staley and featuring Jerry Cantrell's weighty guitar work, Facelift delivers a dark and atmospheric collection of songs. Standout tracks including “Man in the Box,” “Sea of Sorrow,” “Bleed the Freak,” “We Die Young” and “Love, Hate, Love” demonstrate the band's ability to balance crushing riffs with melodic songwriting and brooding intensity. 1.
