The Alien is a functional watertight vase, 3D printed with eco-friendly, degradable PLA bio-plastic (derived from corn starch). The undulating crater design maximises the light ref lecting properties of silk-effect PLA. Matte PLA produces a soft shadowy finish.The Alien was shortlisted for both the 2021 Interior Design Excellence Awards, and VIVID Design Awards. It won a Colour Commendation at VIVID. NOTES: Autumn gradient: the placement of colours is unique to each vase, so photos are indicative. The gradient is a mix of gold, copper, and soft green. Starry Night morph: a tri-colour filament with consistent colour placement. It blends a reddish-copper, yellow-gold, and blue, placing one or two colours on each side of the vase, with blending in between (see two photos & video - all these colours appear in one vase). Gothic morph: a tri-colour filament with consistent colour placement.
