AliMed® Easy Access™ Foot Splint is large enough to accommodate even the bulkiest dressings and allows unlimited access to the foot and ankle to facilitate dressing changes. Indica ted for burn management, healing wounds, surgical incisions, and other conditions that require unimpeded foot and ankle access. The stabilized leg rests on a wide, open-sided leg trough that is affixed to a movable foot plate, forming a wide U-shaped base that stabilizes the foot in a neutral and upright position, helping to limit hip rotation. Foot plate locks at 20 degrees of plantarflexion or 5 degrees of dorsiflexion and can be securely positioned at other angles by crossing the straps over the foot. Turnbuckle with triangular-shaped grip for easy adjustments. Heel cutout protects against heel breakdown; angled leg trough lifts the heel off the bed. Soft, 1-1/2" thick egg-crate liners help to circulate air and reduce moisture buildup, and attach with VELCRO® Brand strips that are easily replaced. Fits left or right.
