Alison Headley has used many different blocks to create this linocut print. This is Part II in the Suzani inspired series and a very limited edition of only 15. Each one will be un ique as the artist continues to experiment with symbols and colours. "Pattern and colour have always played an important part in my work. I love the almost mesmeric power a pattern can induce and the idea that the symbols within the patterns have hidden meanings turns the whole piece into something much more significant than solely a piece of decorative art. And as with the importance of the symbols, the colours are also carefully chosen as my way to impart certain emotions in the piece." Show more
