Green alkanet, a cousin of (and oft en mistaken for) the forget-me-not, traditionally used to create red dye (the root of the word coming from the arabic al-henna) and believed to have protective qualities to ward off evil spirits.Hand carved and cast in London in recycled silver with a natural blue princess cut sapphire.
