Nikki McClure has teamed up with Newberry Medal-winning Cynthia Rylant on an amazing new Children’s book. You know those books you loved as a kid, the ones with the big gold foil seal on the front? This could easily be one of those books. Nikki’s strong, bold imagery are lovingly paired with Cynthia’s great lyrical prose. The pages alternate between a pale yellow and a soft blue as they tell the tale of a young one and his journey through the day. Nikki McClure is a self-taught artist who has been making paper-cuts since 1996. She is the author and illustrator of Collect Raindrops and Mama, Is It Summer Yet? and the illustrator of All in a Day, by Cynthia Rylant, which won the Pacific Northwest Bookseller''s award. She visits her farmers market in Olympia, Washington, every week.
