Story A 100% waterproof hybrid boot that laughs in the face of foul weather, available exclusively at Huckberry If there’s one thing we’ve learned the hard way over the years, it’s that even the most bitter cold, sopping wet, why-the-hell-am-I-outside days can be comfortably conquered when your feet are warm and dry. When we set out to design the ideal shoe to do just that, we weren’t exactly sure where to start but we had a few key ideas in mind: weather resistance, versatility, traction, and comfort. After countless iterations, fit tests, and final tweaks, we’re proud to introduce the All-weather Duckboot (or AWD, as we’ve come to affectionately call it here at HQ). It’s got the chunky good looks of a duck boot, the all-terrain versatility and durability of a Range Rover, and comfort that rivals your favorite sneakers, all wrapped up in a waterproof package you can rely on everywhere from subway stairwells to steep switchback trails. We chose only the best construction methods to ensure the AWD is not only fully waterproof, but comfortable to boot: Gusseted tongue construction prevents water from entering the toe box A breathable, waterproof membrane allows moisture to escape while keeping water out, keeping your feet dry and comfortable Uppers constructed with sealed seams and waterproof cement and glue to ensure long-lasting waterproof performance The extended rand and toe cap protect against tears, abrasions, and water Fully lined with soft, supple leather and a sock-like collar Materials Without the right materials, you’ve got no hope of making anything of quality.
