The Ally Shrimp is a classic salmon fly, originally tied by Scottish fly tier Ally Gowans. It’s one of the most popular “shrimp-style” patterns for Atlantic salmon and steelhead, e specially effective in clear or slightly peaty rivers. Fishing Use Works well in both low and medium water conditions. Fished on floating or intermediate lines with a swing.
