Aloha It is within this simple but most sacred word that the totality of Hawaiian spirituality is encoded. It essentially means that I acknowledge the creator within you as you acknowledge the creator within me. Alo means in the presence of and hā is the breath of life/creation. The aloha spirit is the spirit of oneness and the love that is the breath of the soul. It is a loving state of mind where hate has no resting place. To the Hawaiians, aloha represents love.
