Blue and gray are colors commonly thought to embody sadness and despair. During the painting process, as my palette filled with more shades of blue and gray, I couldn’t help but fe el a sense of loneliness for the door. Though the door’s frame and embellishments give off a strong and independent aura, I feel its darkness wards some off, giving it its own loneliness. Show more
