An award-winning rosé from the Amyndeon plateau in northwestern Macedonia (northern Greece), the Alpha Estate rosé is made from Xinómavro grapes from a single vineyard. The wine, w hich was a surprise favorite in one of my wine tastings, has very good scores from professional wine critics including Jancis Robinson for its combination of fruity and floral (rose) aromas, good balance, and long finish.
