Final Felt Polishing Wheels Alpha® Felt Wheels are hook-and-loop felt polishing wheels used during the final buffing stage of stone fabrication. When paired with the appropriate polishing powder, paste, or bar, they help develop a deep glossy finish on marble, delicate granite, and engineered stone. The felt construction works across flat surfaces and detailed edge profiles such as ogees and bullnoses. Heat- and Compound-Resistant Felt Each felt wheel is 1/4" thick and designed to withstand acidic polishing compounds and the heat generated during final buffing. The felt balances firmness with softness to maintain polishing contact while providing the durability needed for fabrication, monument, tile-finishing, and floor-polishing applications. Hook-and-Loop Backing The hook-and-loop backing attaches to a compatible backer pad for straightforward installation and wheel changes. This listing offers 3", 4", and 5" diameters, allowing the wheel size to be matched to the polishing equipment, surface area, and edge profile. A compatible backer pad is required and sold separately. 4,000 RPM Operating Limit Alpha Felt Wheels have a maximum operating speed of 4,000 RPM. When using a compatible angle grinder, the tool must have variable-speed control and be reduced below 4,000 RPM. Always match the felt wheel and backer-pad diameter to the polishing tool and application.
