Snail Lock Adapters for Hook & Loop Polishing Pads Alpha® Hook & Loop Backed Snail Lock Adapters provide a rigid hook-and-loop face for mounting compatible polishing pads to the Alpha® Twincur Snail Lock system. The firm backing supports stable pad contact during stone polishing without requiring glue or adhesive. Connection to 5/8"-11 Polishers Each backing adapter attaches to the Alpha® SFAT-5/8 Twincur Snail Lock Adapter, which threads onto a compatible polisher with a 5/8"-11 spindle. The Hook & Loop Backed Snail Lock Adapter does not thread directly onto the polisher; the SFAT-5/8 provides the threaded tool connection. Quick Polishing Pad Changes Hook-and-loop polishing pads press onto the adapter face and peel away for fast changes between pads or grit stages. The backing adapter can remain connected to the SFAT-5/8 adapter while the pads are changed, helping streamline multi-step polishing work. 4", 5" and 6" Rigid Adapter Sizes The adapters are available in 4", 5", and 6" diameters to match compatible hook-and-loop polishing pads. All three sizes use a Snail Lock connection and have a maximum operating speed of 2,000 RPM.
