Observe the Max RPM rating on the Specifications table — 12,000 RPM for sizes 5/16"–2", and 8,400 RPM for sizes 2-1/4"–4". For wet drilling, supply water continuously through a swivel adapter to flush debris and cool the diamonds. For dry drilling, drill in short pulses to let the bit cool; avoid forcing the cut. Start at a shallow angle to score the surface, then bring the bit upright to drill through — reduces chipping on porcelain and stone. Inspect the segment regularly; replace when diamonds are worn flush with the matrix.
