The alphanumeric notation for deciduous dentition follows the same format as the permanent dentition, however, as with other notations it incorporates letters (A-E) instead of numb ers for each tooth (mesial to distal). For example, the mandibular right lateral incisor is represented as ‘LRB’, ‘LR’ meaning lower right, and ‘B’ the second letter in the alphabet, the second tooth furthest away working mesial to distal.
