They can even start DJing using compatible streaming services (in countries where streaming is available), such as Apple Music via Algoriddim’s djay app. Compatibility with Multiple DJ Applications and Streaming Services The DDJ-FLX2 is compatible with various DJ applications, including rekordbox and djay. After installing their preferred app on a mobile device, DJs can connect to the controller and start mixing immediately. For those who want to learn more advanced techniques, DJ software such as Serato DJ Lite can be used on a PC/Mac. Each DJ application is compatible with different streaming services. Smart CFX and Smart Fader The Smart CFX and Smart Fader features on the DDJ-FLX2 allow DJs to replicate the seamless song transitions used by professionals. Smart CFX enables DJs to recreate complex and dynamic effect techniques with a simple turn of a knob. It is useful for connecting tracks and adding emphasis to performances. Smart Fader automatically optimizes volume, BPM, and bass control, essential for smooth transitions between tracks. DJs can easily mix songs from different genres, even those with vastly different tempos (BPM), by simply sliding the crossfader in one direction. Lightweight, Compact Body with User-Friendly Features The DDJ-FLX2 is AlphaTheta’s lightest and most compact DJ controller. Powered by USB bus, it does not require an external power supply when connected to a PC/Mac or mobile device via USB Type-C. Music can play through the built-in speakers of a PC/Mac/mobile device, or external speakers can be connected via the audio output terminals on the DDJ-FLX2. Performance Pads for Pro-Style DJing The Performance Pads on the DDJ-FLX2 make it easy to manipulate music. With Pad Mode Select, DJs can switch between various modes, such as Hot Cue mode, which allows any point in a track—like an intro or chorus—to be bookmarked for instant access. Pad FX enables DJs to apply various effects by pressing the pads, while the sampler feature allows for sound effects and techniques like finger drumming. Class Compliant There is no need to install audio drivers on the computer or mobile device connected to the DDJ-FLX2. *Please note: The supplied cable is USB-C to USB-C - if you have an older device that is not USB-C you cannot connect to that device with ANY cable and must instead use Bluetooth to connect to the device. This means you will then have to buy a splitter to be able to connect MONO outputs to speakers & headphones from the output of your device. This does not apply to laptops, it only applies to tablets or smartphones.
