With the Heritage collection, Alpina has reached into its archive to revive designs based on the brand’s innovative Alpina “4” concept of sports watches in the 1930s. Combining anti-magnet, anti-shock, and water-resistant properties with stainless steel construction, these watches formed the basis of Alpina’s design philosophy that the brand has carried into the present. Inspired by watches of the ‘20s, ‘30s, and '40s, the Alpina Heritage Automatic blends elements from the past in a pair of two steel watches. The first is a rich cream with black Arabic numerals, a minute track with numerals every five minutes circling the dial's edge reminiscent of military watches of the ‘30s and ‘40s. The second is a satin silver sector dial with bronze-colored hour markers, Arabic numerals, and a cream center. Both featured Alpina’s heritage logo, blued dauphine hands, and a black leather strap. The Heritage Automatic is powered by Alpina’s AL-520, a Sellita SW200-derived automatic Swiss-made caliber featuring 26 jewels, hacking, hand winding, a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, and a power reserve of 38 hours.
