About the Alpine EV-40M-T The kit with the fit Modding your Tesla is an intimidating affair. Alpine developed the EV-40M-T upgrade kit to make your upgrade seamless. No worries about fit and wiring, everything you need for your front dash is included in the kit. Front-dash ready Alpine acoustically tuned the kit's speakers to match the car's interior. Built from lightweight carbon fiber, the woofers use Alpine's one-of-a-kind HAMR surround to get the best possible bass out of their slim 4" profile. The connectors match with Tesla's factory sound system, so no wire cutting or soldering will be necessary. Optional tweeter for even higher highs The 1" tweeter included with this system gives you additional high frequency sound in the center dash location, so you can raise your sound stage even more if you want to. That said, you don't have to incorporate it, and the midrange speakers will perform well with the existing tweeters. High frequencies can be a matter of personal preference, and Alpine gives you the choice. Installing the tweeter may require some modification, as the factory tweeter location is set very close to the windshield and can be difficult to access. Note: Fits Tesla Model 3 (2017-2024) and Model Y (2020-2024). Alpine recommends professional assistance with optional tweeter installation.
