Mounting the system on the spare tire allows are an optimized camera angle that provides extra visibility behind your Jeep® Wrangler. The camera image is displayed on your Alpine aftermarket or factory Jeep® screen. The LED light provides extra visibility when driving at night or off-road in heavily shaded areas. The system is weather-resistant (IP66) and is waterproof and dust-proof so you can take your Jeep® Wrangler off-road. The rugged camera housing has a matte black finish with gunmetal gray powder coat accents that enhance the look of your Jeep® Wrangler. The small footprint of the HCE-TCAM1-WRA allows for easy installation onto the spare tire mount. The system is fixed onto the spare tire using the OEM lug nut or an aftermarket wheel lock for easy removal and quick wheel locking. While the HCE-TCAM1-WRA can easily fit onto most Jeep® Wrangler factory wheels, three additional mounting posts of various lengths are included so you can ensure a seamless fit onto your spare tire or wheel. The HCE-TCAM1-WRA works with any Alpine aftermarket dash system with a composite (RCA) camera input. When using the HCE-TCAM1-WRA with your factory Jeep® screen, add the ALP-HRN-CAMCH Custom Harness (sold separately) to integrate the camera with select Jeep® Wrangler factory dash systems. Additional programming will be required to activate the camera input with your Jeep® Wrangler factory dash system and can be done at your local Jeep® dealership.
