When the voice coils are wired in parallel the woofer presents a 2Ω load; when wired in series the woofer presents an 8Ω load. Terminals: The two pair of set screw terminals are located on opposite sides of the woofer frame and 18" lengths of positive and negative wire are included for wiring the voice coils in parallel or series. The terminals will accept bare wire up to 10-gauge. Enclosure: Alpine recommends mounting the RS-W10D4 sub in a sealed box with a volume (gross) of 0.49 to 1.043 ft³. Three specific volumes are listed in the manual, 0.54 ft³ (-3 dB at 32 Hz), 0.79 ft³ (-3 dB at 30 Hz), and 1.04 ft³ (-3 dB at 28 Hz).
