Understanding the Angle Differences The bend angles listed for these models are measured relative to the fishing position of the rod while it sits in the rod holder. The water surface (horizon) represents the X-axis (0°). A rod pointed straight up represents the Y-axis (90°). Because of this, the Low Angle Edition (25°) positions the rod much closer to the water's surface, while the BUB2C Edition (70°) holds the rod significantly higher.
