I’ve been connected to ALS awareness for as long as I can remember. My grandmother, Lois, passed away from this devastating neuromuscular disease at just 52. While I never got to know her personally, I’ve come to know her spirit through the beautiful stories my family shares. My mom took part in her first Walk to Defeat ALS while she was pregnant with me 25 years ago—and we haven’t missed a single one since.
