Here's an Altec 682A dynamic microphone from the early 1960's. This is an omni-directional dynamic with an Altec "Golden Diaphragm" and bronze filter. This 682A has a mid-rangey so und that would work well on snare, guitar amps, and more. It needs a good amount of gain, but has great results on loud sources.
