Designed by Ignazio Gardella, 1948 An Italian design masterpiece born from the pencil of the maestro Ignazio Gardella (1905-1999). Conceived in 1948 in a Milan in architectural and ideological turmoil, Alzabile (lit. 'liftable') is not only its name but also its function: from reading lamp it can 'stand up', turning the lampshade, and become a floor lamp. A brilliant project in its simplicity. The original finish in brass and black marble is now accompanied by new color combinations: chrome, copper, Carrara marble or gray marble. It is part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York City. Type: Floor lampDimensions: 20 x 38 x min124/max216cmMaterials: Brass, Aluminum, MarbleBulbs: 1xLED max 8W E27-220V / E26-110V
