Amanda Ring – Brass Originally designed in 1999 following Amanda Nicol's travels in Namibia, the Amanda Ring was inspired by the sculptural forms of traditional elephant hair jewelry. Reimagined in precious metal, the design transforms a continuous band into a single sculptural knot. Originally introduced as the Namibian Wire Line, the ring marked an early milestone in Amanda Nicol's career after being selected through the Museum of Modern Art Design Store's curatorial review process in SoHo in 2001. More than twenty-five years later, it remains one of Amanda Nicol's enduring signature designs and is now presented as part of the Jewelry One of a KIND collection.
