Amano Shrimp may also be called: Caridina multidentata and is a species of shrimp in the family Atyidae. It is native to Japan and Taiwan. Amano shrimp are the best algae eaters ou t there, as far as shrimp go. They eat hair algae, brush algae, most types of string algae, and are one of the few things that will even eat black beard algae.
