The Eskimos pass a story from lip to lip about a boy who, when he was little, inherited the title of the tribal leader. As he was small and weak, he decided to gain strength from the legendary Amarok. In the moonlight, he called a giant wolf, surpassing even the polar bear in size. Amarok told the boy that if he had the will, he would become the greatest ruler of his tribe. Amarok instructed the boy to return to him daily and train together to get stronger each time.
