Amarone, made from Corvina grapes, is a wine making style which originated in Italy. At the time of harvest these grapes are placed on mats and raisinated for 45 days to concentrat e the flavor of the grapes. After de-stemming the grapes they are are fermented on the skins, leading to a rich dark color. An opulent, full-bodied wine with aromas of dried fruit, cherries and toasted oak. Show more
