Plug diffuser into a standard outlet and press the On button; press again to cycle through the timing options of 60; 90 or 120 minutes for the mist. If no time is selected; diffuser with shut off automatically when the water runs out; which is up to 8 hours. Near the base; LED light will automatically move through eight different colors. If you want to keep it just one color; press the Light button repeatedly until your chosen color appears. (Diffuser can be used without water for the lights only; just press the Light button instead of the On button. Turn off by pressing On button 3 times.) Diffuser is extremely quiet as it operates; with no heat or vibration. Cover is glass with frosted finish on the outside; basin and base are sturdy plastic.
