Craig was the gentlest of giants—a true ambassador for not only African elephants, but for all wild creatures and places. Craig, one of the last great super tuskers, sadly passed a way on January 3, 2026, at the impressive age of 54. Zach Jones was fortunate to spend three days with Craig in the spring of 2025. These moments will be forever cherished and never taken for granted. Zach dedicated an entire chapter to Craig in his book, Exploring Creation: African Safari.
