America spinach is a classic heirloom variety that produces large, dark green, heavily savoyed (crinkled) leaves on vigorous plants. The leaves are thick, tender when young, and ha ve a rich, earthy flavor with mild sweetness. It is excellent fresh in salads, sautéed with garlic, wilted into soups and pasta, blended into smoothies, or used in quiches and egg dishes.
