A thick border of white to clear quartz surrounds the Amethyst, followed by a narrow band of blue-grey agate and the original dark basalt exterior. The flat-cut base allows the geode to stand securely, while the open front gives a full view of the crystal-lined interior. Natural fractures, small mineral deposits, uneven crystal growth, and minor edge wear are visible throughout and are normal for a specimen of this size.
