CUSTOM BASKET SIZING NOTES: Your rectangular wicker basket will be hand-woven, and its size may naturally vary slightly due to the woven wicker basket being handcrafted. Please allow up to 1/2" in size variance when ordering (up to 3/4" on large sized, rectangle woven baskets). The measurements you specify will be the basket size (within the above-mentioned tolerances) on the outside of your rectangular basket, measured across the top. Every size is a whole inch, and the shortest height is 3 inches. SPECIAL BASKET SIZE NOTES FOR BASKETS GOING IN CUBBIE HOLES: The best practice when ordering your baskets to fit inside any cubbie is to order your baskets a minimum of 1” smaller than the size of the cubbie hole (keep in mind this is only 1/2" on each side). For example: If your cubbie hole measures between 15" and 16" wide, order your basket 14" wide to allow for the handmade nature of the basket to vary slightly in size and also to allow a small amount of room to get your basket in and out of the cubbie. Loop handles stand out past the two ends of the basket they are on, so leave extra room on those sides if you choose them, and protective feet add about 1/4" to the height. LENGTHS OVER 24 INCHES: A basket 25 to 32 inches long gets a solid wood frame added inside the top for strength. The frame sits inside the basket, so the outside size stays the size you order. Only the length goes past 24 inches, so make the longest side of your space the length.Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for your custom-made rectangular basket by size to be shipped. Available Options for Your Rectangular Shaped Custom Size Baskets Include: Leather Handles: We offer three different leather handle options so you can design the perfect wicker storage basket for your needs. If you are designing cubby baskets to fit in cubby holes, you can specify a leather pull handle to be positioned on either the length or the width of your cubby basket. If you plan to carry your basket, you can specify short loop handles for carrying (these handles would be loop handles on each width side like you would find on our laundry baskets, for example) or, if you would like to be able to carry your wicker basket with one hand you can specify long carrying straps, one on each length side (these handles would be like you would find on our picnic baskets, for example). Cloth Liner: Adding a machine washable, hand-sewn cloth liner to your custom woven rectangular basket will add both extra color to go with your home décor and provide extra protection to keep your storage baskets with liner looking new. Custom Lids: You can add an optional lift-off wooden lid to your custom rectangular basket to keep your stored items neatly hidden away. When you select the lid option, your rectangle basket with lid will come with a leather lifting strap in the center of the lid for your convenience. LID NOTE: Including the lid's leather lift strap, adding the lid option will add approximately 1” of additional height to your rectangular basket with lid. Personalization: You can add a custom engraved solid Brass plate to your custom rectangular woven wicker basket. You can add a name, a label for your basket’s storage contents, or saying of your choice and it will be custom engraved on a personalized Brass plate that will be permanently attached at the center of the longer or shorter side of your rectangle shaped basket, whichever you choose.
