Ammonites were relatives of squids and nautili which thrived in the seas during the time of the dinosaurs, approximately 140-100 million years ago. Their name originates from the G reek ram-horned god Ammon. There were many different varieties, ranging in size from a penny to a tractor tyre.Please note that as a natural product, the shape of each may vary.
