Supermodified, Tobin's third release on Ninja Tune, finds everybody's favorite Irish/Brazilian boy wonder doing what he does best, creating elaborate soundscapes. Sometimes melodic to the point of distraction, sometimes aggressively bent on making you paranoid, each composition on this album falls into its own mood and world. Listen to "Slowly" or "Chocolate Lovely" to do some springtime contemplation. Or, if you want to get your Lex Luthor on, checkout "Golfer versus Boxer" or "Precursor" a track that sounds like a Stephen Hawking beatboxing freaked to pieces.
