The Ampro 6 is a base-loaded mobile antenna for the 6m band (50–52 MHz) — available in Moonraker and Sigma versions. Constructed with a wound fibreglass coil and stainless steel top whip, it's designed for mobile operation on the 6m band — known as the "Magic Band" for its unpredictable but spectacular propagation, including sporadic-E, meteor scatter, and occasional transatlantic openings. At just 125cm in length, it's one of the more compact antennas in the Ampro range and easy to manage on a vehicle. Rated at 250W with a wide 1500 kHz bandwidth covering the full 50–52 MHz allocation. The 3/8" thread fitting is compatible with the vast majority of mobile antenna mounts and magnetic bases.Key Features Type: Base-loaded helical wound mobile antenna Construction: Wound fibreglass coil with stainless steel top whip Frequency: 50–52 MHz (6m band) Antenna length: 125cm VSWR: 1.5:1 or better Max power: 250W Bandwidth: 1500 kHz Fitting: 3/8" thread Available in Moonraker and Sigma versions Technical Specifications Frequency: 50–52 MHz Type: Base-loaded helical wound Length: 125cm VSWR: 1.5:1 or better Power: 250W Bandwidth: 1500 kHz Fitting: 3/8" thread
